Most people in the northern hemisphere are deficient in vitamin D during winter. In fact, some studies suggest that a surprising 80% of Canadians have the deficiency during the winter months. It is a pity, because without vitamin D, bones become brittle and many other health problems can arise. However, it is relatively difficult to get the correct dose of this vitamin because very few foods that naturally contain.
